Style Guide

To help you choose the perfect Bikini or Swimwear, we've complied a short reference guide to match your body type with the ideal stlye.

Hourglass Shape:

Luckily enough for you, any style suits. To give an extra sexiness though a Bandeau or Triangle Bikini Top would do the job.

Pear Shape:

This is when you have bigger hips and smaller shoulders or bust.

The best tops for this shape would be a Bandeau or plunging neckline of a Triangle Top which ties in a halter behind the neck. These draw attention to the bust area and make the shoulders look wider, thus making your shape look even. For an extra lift you could also look for padded or moulded cups.

For your bottoms go for low waist and maybe with small ties on the sides as these also help balance you out.

AVOID high waist bikini bottoms and swimsuits as these make you look bigger than you are.

Apple Shape:

This is when you’re likely to hold a little extra on your upper body such as the tummy or bust.

If you are this shape you will most definitely have amazing legs, so show them off!

Tops best suited to your shape are Halter neck Bikini and Tankini Tops. To compliment these, and your killer legs wear High Waist Bikini Bottoms.

Darker colours help the illusion of a slimmer upper half.

With swimsuits, any with Ruched or Cris Cross styles help slim the middle.

AVOID horizontal stripes as these will only make you look bigger.

Full Figure:

If you decide to go for a bikini, Plain Bikini Bottoms work best for you, with a 3 inch side band. With tops make sure to look out for those with lace or mesh inserts as they give the best support. Also look for this in the bust of swimsuits.

With swimsuits any with strategically placed cut-out areas or deep V neckline will elongate your torso.

AVOID Bikini Shorts or High Cut Bikini Bottoms as these will make your bum look bigger.

If you feel you would like to cover up when not sun bathing, try a sexy sarong or caftan. This way you can feel cool in light layers and still look amazing.

Straight Figure:

This applies to any woman who has small bust and hips.

Triangle Bikini Tops work best as these tie behind the neck and create an illusion of a fuller bust (of course any with padding is a bonus). Bikini Bottoms with tie sides or Shorts help make the hips look wider and more curvaceous.

To create a bit more shape, any sort of embellishment or detail, such as frills or ruffles, at the bust and waistline is a good idea. Horizontal stripes also have the same affect.

AVOID vertical stripes and high necklines as these emphasise your straight figure. Dark colours in swimsuits are also a bad idea as they do the same.

Petite Figure:

This refers to any woman 5’3 or less.

Go for tops with a plunging neckline or halter neck as these elongate you upper body. Padded or moulded cups can give extra lift if needed.

Opt for high cut bikini bottoms as these help in making your legs look longer.

AVOID oversized prints and straps, these will distract the eye and are not flattering.
