Laura Patterson who represented Derry and was a former winner of Miss Teen Ireland, will be taking a break from studying her Law degree to fulfill her obligations as Miss Ireland.

Humble Laura didn’t tell many people she enter because she was sure she wouldn’t win and was just happy to be involved in the competition, so much so when her boyfriend told her he placed a 20Euro bet on him she had told him it was a waste and should have been put in a charity box.
