Caprice to be the new Judge on Style Wars
March 4th, 2010We’re delighted to announce that one of our favorite designers, supermodel Caprice, will be the new judge on TV3’s Style Wars.
Supermodel turned business woman, Caprice is the perfect Judge for the series. She knows the fashion business inside and out – from the front of the camera right down the business end. Her opinions and criticisms will be a big boost to any aspiring designer. She’s done it all, had the good times and even faced the bad times, with the economic problems of last year some major strain on the business. Luckily the Caprice Swimwear range for this year has been a huge success and once again she’s back on top of the game.
The series is due to air on June 1. No doubt as Caprice spends more time hanging out her in Ireland, she’ll be telling us all the new exciting inside stories. We’ll share what we can with you here.
New Bikinis Styles 2010

Irelands Next Model Winners

We were delighted to see several of our exclusive ranges of bikinis featured on top models such as Sandra Chung and our very own model – Sarah Burns
Bikini’s such as the Bay Breeze Bikini featured in the above video and the Deep V Cut Mallot Monokini stood out as real jaw droppers amongst the range of swimwear on offer.
All in all a great fun night and for such a new competition this is a real one to watch out for next year. We have our eye on a few of the models and hopefully you might see some of them on our site soon advertising the new range of 2010 bikinis.
Miss Ireland Winner 2009
September 28th, 2009Laura Patterson was crowned the winner of the 2009 Miss Ireland competition and will go on to represent Ireland in the Miss World 2009 Competition in South Africa in November / December. Laura Patterson who represented Derry and was a former winner of Miss Teen Ireland, will be taking a break from studying her Law degree to fulfill her obligations as Miss Ireland.

Humble Laura didn’t tell many people she enter because she was sure she wouldn’t win and was just happy to be involved in the competition, so much so when her boyfriend told her he placed a 20Euro bet on him she had told him it was a waste and should have been put in a charity box.
Miss Ireland 2009
September 23rd, 2009Miss Ireland 2009 takes place this year on the 26th of September in the Royal Marine Hotel Dunlaoire. TheBikiniShop.ie is delighted to be sponsoring the swimwear section of the competition and is really looking forward to a great night of stunning beauty, fine dinning and amazing atmosphere. If you are fortunate to be attending make sure you plan for a late one as we’ve laid on a some great entertainment for the after party, which will go to very very late.

The Brazilian cut bikini is between a full cut bikini bottom and a thong bikini, leaving a little more for the sun to tan.

50% of Irish ladies Dread Getting into Bikinis

We were both saddened and amazed at the statistics revealed by the Special K Survey carried out by Kellogg’s.
It stated that 50% of Irish ladies in their 20’s dread the thought of getting into a bikini during the holiday period. They prefer to keep Tums, bums, thighs and arms covered whenever they can, so the thought of wearing a bikini is frightening to them. It also stated that 71% of these women make an effort to try to loose weight before the holiday period in order to tackle the bikini issue with a bit more confidence.

August 24th, 2009Its official, the 2009 winner of the Miss Universe is Miss Venezuela, 18 year old Stefania Fernandez.
First Runner-Up Miss Domincan Republic, Ada Aimee De La Cruz; will assume the duties of MISS UNIVERSE 2009 if the titleholder for some reason is unable fulfill her responsibilities.
